Accessibility.
Making Made in Stoke easier for everyone to use.
Make yourself comfortable.
Choose what works for you. These preferences are saved on this device and apply across the website.
You can also use your browser’s zoom controls. These settings complement your assistive technology and do not replace accessibility testing.
Our commitment
Made in Stoke wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology. Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Using this website
The website includes keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, a skip-to-content link and layouts that adapt to different screen sizes. Navigation submenus can be opened with their buttons and closed with Escape. You can enlarge content using your browser’s zoom controls.
The preferences above let you increase reading text size, choose higher contrast, add line spacing and reduce motion. Settings are saved in your browser on this device. The website also respects your device’s reduced-motion setting, and decorative animation can be paused using the footer control.
Accessibility status
A full assessment against every WCAG 2.2 AA requirement has not yet been completed, so we cannot confirm full conformance. Automated testing and manual keyboard and layout checks have informed improvements, but these checks do not replace a complete accessibility assessment.
Areas still being assessed
- Compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies needs further testing.
- Membership, contact, speaker registration, donation and purchase journeys require complete end-to-end accessibility checks as their connected services are finalised.
- Downloads, embedded content and services provided by other organisations may have different accessibility features. Please contact us if you need an accessible alternative.
We are continuing to review these areas and will update this statement as testing and improvements progress.
