We are Made in Stoke.
A community for making a better city.
Made in Stoke is a community of people with a link to Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding North Staffordshire area. Our intention is to create connections with people who are ‘Made in Stoke’ and provide you with a way to re-connect and give back to our city. It is backed by partners including Staffordshire University, Keele University, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Stoke City Football Club, Port Vale Football Club, YMCA North Staffordshire, The Community Foundation for Staffordshire and private philanthropists.
What Made in Stoke offers our members
The network is bringing together people who were themselves ‘made in Stoke-on-Trent’, to help effect positive change in the city.
What's our mission?
The network isn’t limited to any one particular sector – it is open to anyone with a link to the city and can have a positive impact on any area of life in the city. We are harnessing the fierce pride and loyalty that people born, raised or somehow connected to the city feel and then using it for the good of the city.
It’s moving things on from pikelets and pottery towards encouraging people into positive action to help the city that made them and to help its current and future population.
It's connecting network members with organisations and individuals within the city that match their areas of interest. It is also backing key projects that match recognised areas of need within Stoke-on-Trent. There is an overarching Made in Stoke-on-Trent aim of encouraging aspiration.
